Admissions Requirements
Excel High School is an accredited online middle and high school serving students in grades 6-12. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we serve students across the country and around the world. Students are welcome to enroll regardless of location, and our programs are designed to meet the needs of a diverse, global student body.
To ensure a smooth start, we ask that you complete the enrollment application fully and honestly. This helps us understand your needs and provide the best support as you begin classes. Students aged 11 and older who have completed 5th grade and are fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English are eligible to enroll. All coursework is provided in English.
For adult learners, Excel High School offers an Adult Track Diploma, which is available to those aged 18 and older. No proof of 8th-grade completion is required for adults—enrollment is open year-round.

Our Credit Transfer Policy
Excel High School welcomes transfer credits from accredited schools across the U.S. and around the world. In compliance with accreditation standards, we accept up to 75% of transfer credits toward high school graduation. Whether you’re transferring from a U.S. public school, charter school, qualified homeschool, or an accredited international school recognized by a foreign Ministry of Education, we’re here to help. Students must complete a minimum of 6 credits with Excel High School before receiving their diploma, ensuring all graduates meet our rigorous academic standards.
