Admission Requirements for International Students

Eligibility Requirements:
Before applying, ensure that you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age Requirements:
- Middle School: Must be at least 11 years old and have completed 5th grade.
- High School: Must be at least 14 years old and have completed 8th grade.
- English Proficiency: Students should have an English proficiency level equivalent to an 8th-grade understanding of reading, writing, and speaking. We do not require TOEFL scores, but students must be prepared for courses conducted entirely in English.
Steps to Join Excel High School
How to Apply as an International Student
Enrolling as an international student at Excel High School is simple and straightforward. Our process ensures that your previous academic achievements are recognized and that you’re prepared for success in an online learning environment. Follow these steps to complete your application and start your journey toward earning an accredited American high school diploma.
Submit an Official Transcript
Ensure your previously earned credits are recognized by submitting your transcript for evaluation.Visit Scholaro to upload your transcripts, translating them into the U.S. system.
Note: Excel High School accepts up to 75% of transfer credits toward graduation, but students must complete at least 6 credits with us.
Provide a Government-Issued ID
To verify your enrollment, submit a valid government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or military ID. Upload your ID through your Learn Stage account, or email it to [email protected].
Note: If your ID is not in English, please include a notarized English translation.
Review and Start Your Journey
Once your transcripts are evaluated and your ID is verified, your application will be reviewed by our admissions team. You’ll receive a confirmation email once enrolled. After enrollment, your Academic Success Coach will guide you through course selection and orientation. Begin your learning journey with Excel High School at your own pace, from anywhere in the world.

Our Credit Transfer Policy
Excel High School welcomes transfer credits from accredited schools across the U.S. and around the world. In compliance with accreditation standards, we accept up to 75% of transfer credits toward high school graduation. Whether you’re transferring from a U.S. public school, charter school, qualified homeschool, or an accredited international school recognized by a foreign Ministry of Education, we’re here to help. Students must complete a minimum of 6 credits with Excel High School before receiving their diploma, ensuring all graduates meet our rigorous academic standards.
