Using Excel To Make Up For Missing Credits

You meet with your guidance counselor to talk about your upcoming senior year and your stomach falls through the floor. You don’t have enough credits to graduate. Like many freshman, maybe you didn’t quite grasp the need to pass all of your classes to earn those credits, or maybe life situations occurred that prevented you from giving the past several academic years your best attention. What do you do now?

You meet with your guidance counselor to talk about your upcoming senior year and your stomach falls through the floor. You don’t have enough credits to graduate. Like many freshman, maybe you didn’t quite grasp the need to pass all of your classes to earn those credits, or maybe life situations occurred that prevented you from giving the past several academic years your best attention. What do you do now?

Online & Self-paced

One option is to make up credits through part time enrollment at Excel High School. With fully online and self-paced courses available, you can earn those missing credits while still attending school. So whether you’ve just finished 9th, 10th, or 11th grades, we’ve got you covered with our extensive list of individual courses.

You can start our classes any time; in fact, we’ve usually got you all set up within 48 hours of enrollment! And the fact that our classes are self-paced means that you can take your final exam after being enrolled in the class for 60 days and after completing all of the coursework. So don’t panic! Missing out on credits isn’t the end of the line!

Core Subjects

We offer all of the core subject areas: math, science, history, and English at all academic levels. You can sign up for anything from a basic Consumer Math course all the way up to Pre-Calculus; English 9 through 12; Biology through Physics; and U.S. History through Economics and U.S. Government. Whatever credits you’re missing for your required core subject areas, we’ve got you!

Required Electives

When it comes to required electives, we offer a credit of Health and Wellness that can cover any missing health class or PE credit. Missing fine arts work? We’ve got that for you, too! You can choose between Art History, Music Appreciation, History of Jazz, or Digital Photography.  Need a foreign language credit? Take our online Spanish or French classes!

General Electives

And our general electives are hard to beat. If you’ve got your required credits down, but you’re missing a few optional electives, we’ve got something for everyone at EHS. We offer a wide range of STEM classes: Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; Forensic Science or Biotechnology; Introduction to Coding, Computer Engineering, or Introduction to Tech Science.

If STEM classes aren’t for you, we offer Sports Science or Sports Medicine, Life Skills, Psychology or Sociology, Marketing, or Business Management. You can prep for the SAT and earn credits along the way with our SAT Prep Course, too. And those are just a few of our elective offerings!

Excel High School

It can be frightening when you realize you are missing credits, but we’re here to help you catch up and stay caught up! EHS is an accredited and recognized school, so check with your school counselor about making up your credits through our part-time offerings.
