Jackie is originally from Northern Michigan, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in mathematics from Northern Michigan University. Throughout her teaching career, Jackie’s passion for education has taken her to various states and grade levels, with a primary focus on middle school mathematics. Her commitment to building strong relationships with her students and supporting their growth has been a consistent theme throughout her professional endeavors. Additionally, Jackie has played a crucial role in curriculum design and development along with mentoring and developing new teachers, further demonstrating her leadership skills and dedication to the field.

Driven by a desire to continue making a difference in education beyond the traditional classroom setting, Jackie embarked on a journey to explore opportunities that would allow her to leverage her skills in applied mathematics. This exploration ultimately led her to delve into web development, where she earned a full-stack web development certificate.

Jackie’s transition into the realm of educational technology aligns perfectly with her passion for both education and technology. Joining Excel High School, she brings together her expertise in mathematics, her experience in teaching and mentoring, and her newfound skills in web development to create innovative solutions that enhance the learning experience for students.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Jackie finds joy and fulfillment in the outdoors, regardless of the season, accompanied by her husband and beloved Springer Spaniel. She enjoys downhill skiing, running, hiking, reading, and cooking.
