Jon serves as an Educational Technologist for Excel Education Systems. He joins Excel Education Systems with 10+ years of experience in various educational roles in the classroom, most recently as an English instructor and case manager at a federal-level four instructional setting special education school. Jon also brings his familiarity with educational technology, understanding of full-stack web development expertise, and design to the Excel family.

As a state-licensed educator in English language arts, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the classroom to Excel. From an educator’s standpoint, Jon is passionate about working with both students and educators to promote student equity, fostering trusting partnerships, building student-centered learning environments, and using technology to provide a richer educational experience. Jon has a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Metropolitan State University and full stack developer certification from the University of Minnesota.

Jon is married to his adoring wife and has three exceptional children. In his free time, Jon enjoys playing and listening to various music genres and supporting his local sports teams.
