First Graduate of Excel Adult High School Program Honored at Sedalia Public Library

Barbara Ashley Debates, the first graduate of the Excel Adult High School program through Sedalia Public Library, was honored at a reception. Despite balancing work, motherhood, and home responsibilities, she completed 22 courses in just over six months. The program, fully online and accredited, allows students to earn a high school diploma recognized by colleges and employers. Scholarships for the program are provided by community donations, with Barbara’s supported by the Sedalia Public Library Foundation. Another student is currently enrolled in the program.
